Greetings to all,

This is Jessica Wagner, Secretary of Board and Head Researcher for Sacred Earth Animal Rescue and I am here to inform you all that S.E.A.R is facing some tough times.
As a non profit organization, we depend solely upon the kindness and generosity of others. Through support, awareness, donations of money, time, labor and materials, we work together to provide a safe, caring environment for animals that are in need. This is how we survive as an organization.

Our problem?

It has proven difficult to find those willing to lend a hand with the requirements we need. We have been struggling and doing all that we can, but we're fighting a crippling battle on our own.
I come here to ask you all for your help in ending this struggle. We are NOT doing this for ourselves. We are doing this for the animals that are abandoned, neglected, mistreated and no longer cared for. We fight this battle for them. For their well being. But we can no longer do it alone. We NEED your support.
Without your help, We cannot continue.

Please, for the animals, do whatever you can. Spread the word and help us gain awareness.
The animals need this from all of us.

Sincerely,
Sacred Earth Animal Rescue

Due to recent budget cuts
We have had to drop our previous cellular phone carrier and purchase a plan more affordable. Because of this, our number has changed. Please view our 'Home' page and the 'Contact Us' page for Sacred Earth Animal Rescue's new phone number.

The original winner of Desert Rose was unable to take possession of her.  Misty is now the new owner of this fine girl.  She lives near by and we will be able to see Rose and her foal any time we want.  As of 10/15/2010 she still had not foaled.  It'll be soon though.

Chief Standing Bear
Chief has a new family and a new name.  He is now Sultan and Sully is his nickname.  He will be 1 year old in July.  We got to see him grow and change.  We are so blessed with that.  More changes are coming his way.  He will be a gelding real soon but will be better off that way.  He has begun his formal training with his feet.  Next step, the farrier.  We are happy for you, Sully.

Coco
Coco the minihorse has news.  His new family called us yesterday and gave us an update on this good lookin' fella.  But some background for you folks that don't know his story:  Coco came from Nebraska.  He was a neglected, abused stud miniature horse.  He spend 8 years in a pen with no companions other than his owner.  The owner would wrestle with the horse as if he were a dog and would also just flat out slug him in the face.  He had foundered at some point at least once and had terrible feet.  Long story short, a lady told us about him and she had talked the owner into relinquishing him to us.  We had him gelded shortly after arriving here and took some of the length off his hooves.  Some wonderful people adopted him in October of 2009.  There was no doubt in my mind that these people would love him and take good care of him.  They understood his special hoof needs and were willing to take it on.  I am showing you some pics from when he was brought here and one of him from yesterday (May 9, 2010).
The pic on the left is the original length when he got here.  The pic on the right is the length after his first farrier experience in his life.  This was a nine year old horse.  The new owners sent me this following pic yesterday.  What an improvement.  It will still take some time to get his feet where they need to be but just look at how wonderful his feet are now.
